Ran 2:57 marathon in college 20 years ago.

15K PR 53:24

10K PR 34:29

5K PR 16:32

Short-Term Running Goals:

Start running again and run 1:30 for a half marathon this fall.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Break 3 hours for the marathon

Sub 17 5K, Sub 36 10K.

Personal:

I am married and have two wonderful kids, 14 and 10.  I've been running since 1982.  I never get "basic" injuries.  I always get the real nasty career threatening kind, like stress fracture of the sacrum, ganglion cyst clamping  down on my peroneal nerve.

Today ran the Sycamore CC Preview Meet on the NCAA course in the open race in pretty decent 18:43.  About 30 seconds faster than last year.  Nice and cool this morning, about 64 and humid.  Grass was really wet on the course.  Did about a 3 mile warmup and then about 1 mile running around the course watching the Men's and Women's races.

Splits:

1K 3:25

4K 14:51 (3:49)

5K 18:43 (3:52)

Later this afternoon at 5, ran the Wabash Valley Road Runners 5K in 19:09 for 3rd overall.  Age Graded time was 18:08.  Did 3 mile warmup for it and 1 mile cooldown.  Splits for that race

Wow two races in one day! The NCAA course is tough especially if wet so that is a great result.

Thanks! I'm ready for Fall racing. 5K, half marathon and 30K coming up in the next 4 weeks.
