Went and played basketball this morning. Plantar fascia felt much better, shin felt pretty good. I'm thinking of doing some 1000 repeats after school even though it is supposed to be very toasty this afternoon. Big Workout #14 5 x1000m repeats at CV pace (5:40-5:43 mile pace) This workout was really tough because of the heat. It was around 106 when I was doing this so really too hot to be pushing it hard. I did 3 miles to warm-up then got into the workout. I wanted to do 7 or 8 repeats, but only managed 5. I think the heat just drained me more than I was expecting. 1-3:36 2-3:32 3-3:35 4-3:36 5-3:36 I've ran much faster times for this workout, but I guess this was still alright considering being sick all last week, and the shin still hurting some. The shin did manage to loosen up doing the workout so that was good. I only did 1 mile cool-down home. |
