Quads and lower abs a bit sore after blocks and sprinting yesterday. Ran easy 8:30-8:45 pace around Overstreet and then down new trail. Pleased that I got out there before the heat really started cranking - let the summer slog begin.

Any racing plans in the near future?

I've decided to just pursue the grand prix win for the summer track series here in town - starts June 2 and goes every Thurs for 8 weeks, beginning with the 100 meter and advancing each week (200, 400, 800, mile, 2-mile) until the 5K in week 7. Week 8 is a make-up week and ice cream social. Its a great series that I've run off and on for ten years or so, barring injury. I won the 2005 series, but have not run more than 2-3 of the 7 events each year since then. Usually the young studs will only show up for their favorite 1 or 2 distances, leaving us old geezers to be competitive by running all events.
