Out and back in the neighborhood. First (8:54) and third (8:45) miles easy, with second (6:43) and fourth (6:39) miles at goal between 6:30 and 6:45.  I think I need to replot my mile marks here (or get one of them thar fancy GPS watches) - the 6:43 felt much faster than the 6:39.

I've noticed your average training pace getting faster and faster Doug. It seems to me like you are making huge jumps in your fitness.

I held off buying a Garmin for quite a while. But a couple years ago my team got me one at our year end banquet.I really love the thing and think it's one of the factors im my improvement.

Yes, Rob - amazing once everything starts kicking in - hopefully I won't slack off too much on vacation.

The Forerunner 405 (or maybe the 305) is tops on my Christmas list.

I love the 405 I have - especially the download feature that records my runs on the computer and website. Almost feel like a run "doesn't count" if I don't wear the watch or the battery is dead. The bezel thing is a bit quirky but I have been able to work with it quite well. Enjoy your vacation and happy anniversary!
