From Maclay Gardens trailhead, ran 2 miles of the ravine trail to start of North Loop trail - did the North Loop (0.8 mi) in 5:06 - not bad... working toward 4:30ish by end of January. Finished up with an easy mile and a quarter back to the car.

Good workouts these days Doug. Are you following a plan or just sort if instinctively doing what feels like needs to be done?

Lets call it an instinctive general plan that includes more non-running workouts (upper body and plyos/legs), plus 4-5 runs per week that are shorter and faster, with track work at least twice per week.
I can already feel the benefits of the strength work. With indoor 200 and 400 races at end of Jan, I think I need to focus on some longer sprint intervals for a while... 300s and 500s at 85-90% with plenty of recovery. Logical, or way off base?

I think what you are doing looks pretty good. Are you doing one leg and two leg box jumps with your plyos? I love those.
