Personal:

Married, with 1 daughter

IT Analyst/Programmer for 20 years. Also, an avid gardner with a small retail nursery on the side.

I've been a runner most of my life. I started running in 5th grade when the high school coach started a "run for fun" program at all the grade schools in the school district. Also, growing up my neighbor, who was about 8 years older than me, was a superstar in high school with a 4:15 1600m in the early 80s. So I had some good role models.

Most important, I love the Lord, and serve Him in my church and in Bible Study Fellowship, which is an international Bible Study open to people of all church backgrounds (i.e. interdenominational). If you are looking for a phenomenal way to study the Bible and draw closer to God this is the study for you. Check out BSFInternational.org to find a class near you. They are all over the place!

A little slow today. My legs were sore and kind of dead from the get go. Nice, cold day, though. Temps around 36 and cloudy, but the sun came out the last couple miles.. Can you guess which mile has a big uphill?

Splits: 8:03 - 7:45 - 7:39 - 7:32 - 7:36 - 7:29 - 7:24 - 8:00 - 7:32 - 7:42 - 7:32 - 7:27 - 7:19 - 7:34

Looks like I will finish on the first page of the mileage board for the first time in a few months - probably since late August or early September. Its good to be back!

Nice week Scott! When are we going to schedule some long runs? My self-motivation is fading...

From DLTheo on Mon, Dec 05, 2011 at 13:36:59 from 155.130.107.42

I've been thinking about that, too. If you don't mind slowing down a smidge, I could probably do one this Friday. I'll be looking for 15 or 16 miles. Given that I'm adding a few more miles during the week my pace will probably look similar to this run, though I could certainly go faster over the last few miles.

I'm going to try changing my schedule around so that I'll be working at home on Fridays instead of Mondays. That should mean I can do long runs on Friday mornings sometimes. It'd be fun to run around Lakewood with you and Preston once in a while, or get down to the Orting trail sometimes, too.

This Friday Preston and I are planning to run, and then do a little garage project later in the morning. You're welcome to join us in Lakewood if you want to come out here this week. Maybe next time we can do the Orting trail or somewhere closer to your place.

You guys like to run really early, though, like 4:30. Any chance you might be willing to run later, like around 7? I don't want to put you off your garage project schedule, though.
