I meant to run 6 this morning but my beanie fell out of my pocket so I had to backtrack to get it.  My legs felt like crap today too unfortunately.

Ran over to Sugar House and then did some speed work.  Coach had us run fartleks of 2x10 minutes.  I kept about a 6:02-6:05 pace.  Although Sugar House park is quite hilly, it is pretty easy to catch even splits due to the recovery portion on downhills.

This week is supposed to be a taper week at about 30 miles so I am takin it pretty easy.  I was also planning to run everyday instead of cross training one day.  I should have cross trained because I felt some pain in my tendon.  Looks like I will be swimmin tomorrow... Bleh

Cross training day to give my leg a break... Not literally... I usually go for 50 minutes but I had no desire to swim back and forth for 50 min so I decided to do some interval stuff.  I did 2x300 at about 4:57, then I did 4x200 at about 3:13 followed by 5x50 at 42 seconds per.  It was a bit tiring but I was able to keep my splits almost exact.  I guess runners have a knack for hitting splits with all the speed work.

Felt good at the beginning but then the tendinitis began to flare up and was really hurting toward the end.  Lame...

I think this is the lowest amount of mileage in a week that I have had for quite a while.  Initiation night in ROTC so it involved a hike up the trail behind the U.  Pretty cool up there.  Did a bit of running so I counted a mile.
