Got home a little bit late last night so unfortunately my normal morning workout was postponed to night time.  I was okay with that though. :)  Went to the Podiatrist and he stuck what looked like a piece of a cork board the orthotic he had already given me to give the arch more support.  I decided to go give a it a try tonight.

I went and swam a mile (because then if you stop running you feel like you've still accomplished something and the urge to cry is lessened) and then I jumped on the treadmill and ran 4.  It actually felt really good and I wasn't feeling any pain at all during the run.  It was more after I stopped.  Right now it's kinda achy... Oh well such is life.  We shall see...

NICE swim! Hope the orthotic works and you'll be back running soon!

Nice swim AND run! Have you considered seeing a PT instead of a podiatrist? With my injury history I've found I like how the PT's deal with the injury and help strengthen weaknesses to push off future injuries. Just a suggestion; however, I'm sure you've already been through the ringer with this injury!

Thanks Smooth!

And Rad, I have actually not been to a PT. Just the doctor and the podiatrist so far. It might not be a bad idea while I am still on Tricare though. Thanks for the advice.
