I finally got in another run this week.  I already talked about Wednesday's missed run in a previous post.  Yesterday I just lost my resolve when looking outside at 4:45am and seeing the wind howling.  It turned beautiful later in the day but I just didn't have any time to do it.  So today I decided that since I've had plenty of rest I'd put a few extra miles on the end of my planned long run.  It went well, no bonk.  My feet and legs are wiped out but my ankle is fine.  It will probably hurt going down stairs for another day but it is definitely getting better.  I haven't run that far since the 2010 Top of Utah.

I ran 6 north of my house on the JRP and 12 down south into Saratoga Springs.  I can't just run direction out and back because each path dead-ends before 9 miles from my house.  It was cold this morning.  I started at about 6am and my hands didn't warm up until about mile 8 or 9.  Once the sun came up things warmed up.  I took a Hammer Gel at 10 and 14 which really helped me bring it home.  My legs were pretty tired by I had energy and I finished strong.  It was a fun run.

I'm feeling pretty good now, I'm pleased. I needed these few extra miles because I may not be able to run tomorrow either. We're heading to Heber to go sledding and then I have to work afterward.

Steam8 - You ran yours 20 minutes faster than me. I would be slowing you down. But nice job though, you were cruisin'.
