Ran another easy 2 1/2 this morning on ice. It started raining yesterday and through the night but the temperature was below freezing so everything is covered with ice. They even closed school due to the ice on roads. I hate rain in the winter. I like snow. Rain is great the rest of the year. I guess I shouldn't complain about any moisture we get. I have screws in the bottom of one pair of my running shoes and it works quite well on ice. I'm still being cautious with the ITB. No way I'm doing a bike ride on this.

Hi Dave. Just a thought, but have you tried foam rolling the ITB? That does the trick for mine (always tightens up on my left side). There's also a product called "The Stick", which is a similar technique. I also found out after years at a desk job that folding the problem leg over the top of my other leg while seated causes the ITB to stiffen. No crossing legs under the desk anymore. Just some thoughts. Good job staying active.

Robert, Thanks for the tips. I've been doing a lot of stretching for it since last weekend. I had really slacked off on that after having no problems for so long. The foam roller sounds like a good idea. I've looked for one before and couldn't find one. I may have to get one online. I've tried out the stick before at one of their booths and it felt like it did a great job also. I'll definatly give one or both of them a try.
