Started out this morning with 5 miles at 7:58 AP which included the highway hill for the 2nd and third mile 6:48 mile down and 8:45 back up at a little harder than medium effort. Over the next 5 miles I ran 5x1/2 mile hard with 1/2 easy recovery between. The 1/2s were 3:00, 2:59, 2:54, 2:54, 2:53. I wasn't trying to run each one faster they just came out that way. Finished off with 1 cool down mile. Overall pace for 10.5 miles was 7:33

Isn't it nice when quality results come out of normal effort? It really feels like a sence of accomplishment!

I hate to ask but...what's the weather like up there?

From Dave S on Sun, Jun 19, 2011 at 16:38:33 from 4.254.218.96

Our weather has been all over the place. We had a couple of days that reached 80 deg [which is more typical for this time of year] then Fri morning we had a frost. My wife had just replanted a bunch of tomatoes and peppers in the garden after they got killed in the last frost a couple of weeks back and the new alfalfa I just put in was just out of the ground and at the stage where it's vulnerable to frost. Luckily it doesn't appear that there was too much damage. Today it's raining again and at 2 pm the temp is only up to 56 deg. They say today might break the record for the lowest high for this day. But I have to admit these cool temps make for some nice running even if they aren't ideal for some other things.
