My back was slightly sore this morning but not bad and my hip felt fine. I think the hip pain yesterday was coming from my back problem. However if it's not one thing it's another. Last night out moving water lines I had to do more walking than normal and I started to get some soreness in my lower shin on the outer side. It wasn't as sore this morning while moving pipe but still not good. I started a run afterward but after 100 yds decided I better not risk making it worse. I don't think it's anything that's going to be to big of a problem but didn't want to risk making it worse. We just got the 2nd crop of hay in and we haven't had any rain lately so there's a lot of irrigating to do right now and it's not the best thing for recovery.

Since I couldn't run for the 3rd day this week, I got on my mountain bike and went 30.3 miles. This route is 1/2 pavement and 1/2 dirt with about 1000 ft of climbing in the first half. It took just under 2 hours. I might try running a few miles tonight if I can.

I may have to come and get hay from you. We haven't cut any this year. I'm not sure what the ranchers are going to do come winter. Most pastures don't have any grass...it looks like west Texas. Luckly I only have my two horse right now. Usually I have 12 to 15 head of cattle (I only have 50 acres).

Hope the hip, back and shin get better quickly...You're beginning to sound like me :-(

I've only got 2 horses to feed too. Unfortunately that seems to be all I do with mine lately is feed them.
