I ran 8 miles in the morning at 8:34 pace. I felt pretty beat still from the race Monday. My quads were pretty sore from the downhill. The muscles up the outside edge of my shin were sore along with several other spots. I guess I hadn't really trained very well for that 10k with no tempo runs lately and only 2 miles downhill training 2 weeks ago. My brother and his family from Austin have been staying with us for a couple of days and we went up to float a section of the Bear river on tubes. On the first trip down my tube got torn open on a rock with about a mile to go so I ran the rest of the way down the gravel road in my Vibram Five Fingers and got another mile in for the day. We made another trip down and I hit my butt quite hard on a rock that was just under the surface in the middle of a rapid. It has been pretty painful. It wasn't my day.
