I ran 20 miles this morning for the first time since last October. First thing this morning it was 45 deg and raining hard. I waited a couple of hours and the rain got very light and the temp up to 52 deg. Perfect for a long run. I wasn't able to run the dirt roads that I usually take because of mud so I ran down the highway. There are two big mile long hills that climb about 300 feet that I had to run both on the way out and back. I ran the first 8 miles at 7:58 ave pace. Then the next 12 at 7:42 ave pace. Overall ave pace for 20 was 7:48.

nice pace on that long run, geez, you are going to kill me if I do the half...maybe I should wait til next year. I wonder if Keith and Wade are running it?

After seeing how fast you ran Des News 10k on very little training. And then another 5 weeks training before TOU 1/2 I doubt I could even come close. Do you think you're going to run it?

Dave, yeah I signed up today. I am feeling pretty good about it right now, my foot doesn't hurt too bad, shin seems OK, and I am getting in some good interval training.knock on wood...

looking forward to seeing your report on the wellsville biathlon. I want to get into some biking as well, maybe I will look to do that next year. I did the run leg with a bike partner a few years back but think it would be fun to do the whole thing (though I need a decent bike I guess..)
