Did a bike ride this morning. I kept a fairly easy pace and went 28 miles mostly offroad. It took about 2 hours. Ave. HR 135.

There's a house with 5 dogs that always come out after me.This house is 3 miles from any other house back in on a gravel road. I can't blame them for letting the dogs run loose where they live. They always run out in front of me and I worry I'm going to hit one and crash. They keep getting more bold and last time through one of them bit me. He didn't break the skin just grabbed my pants. This morning I unclipped from my pedals before going past and I kicked two of them in the nose with my shoe. I got one of them pretty solid and he left the chase immediately. I'm not going to make it much fun for them from now on.

Dave...Noticed where you are from and it caught my attention. I lived in Preston from 1980-1984 (I was born in 1971) and both my parents grew up there. Maybe you have heard of the Chatterton's. My grandparent's and other relatives still live there and we get up there every few years for family reunions and stuff. Anyway, nice to meet you and good luck with your training.

Jeff, I have heard the name around but I don't actually know any of them. I have lived here 13 years I grew up in the Sandy Utah area. I knew some chattertons down there.

I noticed you are planning to run Ogden. Are you doing the half or full?

From JeffC on Fri, Apr 04, 2008 at 19:01:15

I am doing the full. This will be my third full and my first two were St. George so I am looking forward to trying out a new course.
