LM warmup (10 reps), 8.21 miles in 1:11:12, 8:40/mi, HR 150, w/ 10 x 12 sec Hill Sprints, 1.5 mile walk w/ dogs & stretching. Ran most of this on trails that varied from gravel logging roads to grass and mud elk tracks. Legs felt good today, so the slow pace was more to the hills, mud, obstacles (trees & brush) and exploration than anything else. Decided to tack on the hill sprints at the end up the steep section of trail nearby...first one was slooooow but the rest felt good. Started tiring on the later ones, so while the legs probably aren't 100%, they're getting close already. Left knee was a bit troublesome again....possibly just the trail footing and hills, but maybe because my left ITB is tight, so some stretching to loosen that up. My left foot arch started hurting on the walk. Seems like running with a mid-foot plant is okay, but walking heel to toe is not. |
