Hip arthroscopic surgery today.  Labral debridement and synovectomy.  Surgeon told my wife the tissue was so frayed that it wasn't repairable.  Good news is so far I haven't felt any of the pain I was feeling prior to the surgery.  Even better news is that I'm actually able to walk without crutches and the pain isn't too terribly bad.  Best news is that I can finally start doing something again instead of waiting.....PT over the next 6-7 week......hope to come back soon.

That will be nice, Dale. I look forward to hearing about long runs on the trails and crazy ultra races in the not-too-distant future. I'm glad the surgery went well.

Sounds like the surgery did the trick and hope the PT goes well for you. Keep focusing on all the good/better/best news and you'll be back in the saddle in no time.

Hope the surgery works out and the slow road back doesn't take too long. Take care, looking forward to reports in the future.
