Oops.  Somehow I managed to mess up how long I was supposed to run for and wound up going for 60 minutes.  Dang it....I didn't have my Forerunner 305 to keep me straight for today's workout.  Oh how I depend on technology.

Technologically deprived, day 1.  Garmin still broke.  Had to find my watch before running and during the run realized how much I distracted myself looking at things like HR, instant pace, avg pace, etc....60 minutes seemed like 3 hours today.  I don't think I can wait the couple of weeks sending it in for repairs will take.  I'm not sure I can wait until tomorrow.

Oh, and some minor pain on the outside of my left foot, undoubtedly resulting from the VFF run yesterday.  I'm beginning to wonder if the risks outweigh the benefits of running in them, at least for me.  Perhaps if I could find some grass to run on instead of the asphalt road...

How long out of warranty is your 305 Dale? Garmin replaced my 205 free of charge although it was several months outside the warranty date. I was very impressed with their customer care service, they sent the replacement out before they'd received my old unit.

Wow, that's great. Mine's probably about 9 months outside of the 1 year warranty. What prompted them to cover the unit despite being outside the warranty period?

I went and bought a 405 yesterday although I would probably return it if I could get my 305 fixed and returned promptly. But I decided if I had to pay for it, I'd try the newer model. I also bought it at REI, which means if it ever breaks, even outside the warranty, they'll take it back (100% guarantee).
