Miles:This week: 0.00 Month: 0.00 Year: 0.00
Total Distance
12.50

AM: 10 miles at Wasatch Mtn. State Park. IT was nice and cool, but the hills were rough, especially after 17 yesterday. 27 miles in 12 hours is decent though. It will help the weekly totals. The guys took it easy on me today, they said they are driving to Denver where they will run for the 2nd time today. Me, I might just sleep this afternoon.

PM: 2.5 with Sammy. I really could have went a distance tonight, but I have workouts scheduled for the next 2 days.

It seems like you are having a tough week. Then party tomorrow night. I hope you are fit to go on Sat... Right now the group is still looking very small. I only have two other maybes and only one of those is someone who could be running with us...

From Steve on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 16:44:41

Let's just say I like to kill myself. On the slate for tomorrow is 12x400. I'll do what I can on Sat.

What pace are we shooting for? 5:30 or better this time?

From josse on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 18:06:25

I would sleep to if I could.

From Adam RW on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 22:21:02

Josse, You get an extra 45 min of sleep if you come run with us... I think I would have to get up at 4:30am to come down and run the workout with you though at the time you had planned. However, I am interested in joining you for some of the Provo River course closer to the date of the half.

Steve, 5:30 sounds good for the downhill. We can play it by ear. I liked pushing the last mile. Maybe we can try harder to keep 5:30 and really push the last two instead. I've had some of my best races after a late night of "fun"...

From josse on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 23:39:40

Adam we should plan a run where we can all meet together that would be fun. Pick a day you would like to do the course and we can do it.

From Steve on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 23:52:08

I would say alcohol the night before and feeling good is a 50/50 shot. Sometimes you're fine, sometimes you are not. We will shoot for 5:30's as long as we can. Pushing the last couple would be okay if I am still with you.

I'm also up for a run along the Provo River anytime. It's a nice short drive for me.

Steve, we haven't met I think. But you commented about joining up for a run over guardsman again. I love that run and finishing on the road coming down Millcreek can really get your legs working. I'm sure we can get a group together for a long run like that right after the 24th. I'm doing a marathon pace tempo Sat. morning on Rail trail from Prospector to Echo Res. I see your PR in the marathon is 2:37, very good. Did you grow up in Heber? If so to you know David Danley or his brothers, all great runners. I've done some runs with Dave. I have done a few runs with Adam RW, he is a great guy, (for a Mad Scientist), so your keeping good company. I'm always looking for company on my runs.

From Adam RW on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 09:59:29

Bill, You should join us tomorrow. Just be at the Kmart between 5:45 and 6. Let me know if we should wait for you.

Josse, Next weekend we have family in from Australia so the 26th would be the next weekend that would work for a Provo Run for me. I also like Bill's Millcreek suggestion (less travel for me) but I'll go with the crowd on this one.

Steve, Sorry for hijacking your blog but this will hopefully get it on the hot topic board and so more bodies for this runs. It looks like we may be at 4 or 5 for tomorrow so that is a good thing.

From Steve on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 11:35:14

Excellent!

Bill, I moved to Heber from MI less than 3 months ago, so I don't know anyone really.

I like the rail trail, but it can get boring at times. Running down Mill Creek sounds quite fast, that's quite a downhill.

I will be running with Adam this Sat. but then I will be back in MI from the 17-27.

After that, we can definitely get together to do a long run or tempo.

Adam, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

From josse on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 16:39:53

Adam and everyone- the 26th is just after des news 10k, are you racing it? We could still do Provo canyon that weekend or the next is Aug 2nd (this is the week before the half) you see which works best for you and we can plan it. Or we can plan something that is in the middle I don't mind that either.

From josse on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 16:40:53

I mean location when I said "middle".

From Adam RW on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 16:43:37

Josse, The Des 10K is actually one of my key races for the summer. If we do the Provo run on the 26th I would want it just as a long run nothing too crazy as far as a workout goes...

As far as middle of the ground travel wise, I'm such a consistent beast that I haven't gone to many other locations so suggestions are welcome.

From josse on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 16:53:25

I am the same way, I would not know where to meet. But that sounds good to me for the 26th (I will probably be gone the 2nd anyway) because I would probably not be able to keep up if we did a crazy workout. Should we all plan on the 26th? You could get the folks up there and carpool down.

From Adam RW on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 18:05:49

Josse, I'll see what people think tomorrow and get back to you.
