It was a wonderful day for a run--28 degrees and sunshine.  I did a mile and a half warm up before the tempo run.  Here are my mile splits.

8:13

8:07

7:57--I think the tail wind helped.

My goal was 2:05 quarters.  My first quarter was 2:10.  After that, I think I had a 2:05, but I everything else was quicker.  I felt fine.  I kept reminding myself to relax and that I didn't have to go fast.

The next six and a half miles went okay.  I was very tired by the ninth mile.  I took a new route for the last five miles and discovered two more running trails.

Next week, I am going to do the tempo run more in the middle of the long run and try out a new trail.

Holy long run lady...wow! Was that with or without the stoller. Sounds fun...I just feel tired the rest of the day after running that far so I've stayed away from it for a few years.

The ward party was a blast last night..dancing, pine wood derby, exploding rocket pinewood derby cars in the parking lot...the Bishop's was noticeably charred when he brought it back it...

My "Mean Black Bean Anaheim Turkey ala Supreme Chili" did not win the contest....but I'm pretty sure it was the one they were talking about when they said "There were a lot of interesting chilis out there... but we had to narrow it down to a couple"

Have a good day!

Shoot! I was hoping your chilli would win. I don't remember you mentioning exploding rocket pinewood derby cars when we talked on Wednesday. Sounds fabulous.

This run was without the stroller. An hour or more is too long to sit in a stroller when it's 20 degrees. Will accompanies me when I run indoors on Mondays and Wednesday. When it gets a little warmer we'll go on more runs together.

I'm so impressed you run this long alone and with the cold temps- you rock! Always fun to find new trails too!
