AM - 5 My thighs feel like hamburger, hips are super tight and calves are shot. I didn't feel this bad after St. George. The first mile was excruciating, second wasn't much better, third I started loosening up and the last two hurt. I'll see how I feel this afternoon I might or might not run. Blister on my heel really didn't bug me, probably because everything else hurt so bad.

I too am hammered after that run. My glutes, quads and calves are shot.

Allow some recovery time. Proud of your perseverence on Saturday!

I really wanted to quit and I was telling my wife that I should've after today's run. Somehow a walk run strategy took over and I finished. I ran so far outside my comfort zone those first 7 miles I didn't know what to expect. It was either going to be an epic run for me or a complete blow up, but I had to try. I really didn't think it would be that bad. I remember looking at my watch and thinking "if I can run a 7 minute pace for the rest of the run I'll still be around 1:18". It was tough, thanks for the friendship. It helped wrapping my mind around what just happened as I crossed. Lynette tried to get me to finish with her but I was at a complete breaking point. It was a learning day.
