5.5 Took it easy this morning. Still having a hard time breathing (lungs burn). I've now had a nasal infection for a couple of weeks that just won't get better so I'm not feeling real well overall, still achey.

Reading in Runner's World a SLC man thinks he can break 2:00 in the marathon if the has time to train for 1 1/2 years. I'm guessing he just saw the advertisement for the Big Cottonwood Marathon 4000'+  drop.

PM 6 Lunch loop. Much better than yesterday. I actually enjoyed running for the first time in quite awhile. It didn't hurt or feel like I had to do it. I was giving myself the option of not going but am glad I did.

I believe that is Hobie Call, a quality runner but 2 hours? His last quest was to win every Spartan race run last year to get a $100K payday...the company didn't want that and paid a bounty for someone to beat him!

Ya reading it, it says he dropped out of the last race. Everyone thinks he's just a big joke trying to get someone to sponsor him for 1 1/2 years. The bigger question would be would your legs actually handle that ridiculous downhill for that long. My wife mentioned it and I told her I didn't want anything to do with it. I'm more interested in a flat sea level course. 4000' is a lot of aide.
