Here we Go

Great run to start the year.

Nice easy run.  Definitely needed.

Needed to get out today.  I ended up pushing a stroller with a flat tire for about 2 miles of this, but it was worth it.

After Black January finally ended, today was a good day for a good stress relieving run.

Nice run up Thunderbird Peak.  It was packed today, but that is what happens when everybody gets the day off.  Also, running at 5:00 PM on that run is not the best.   The rocks are tough to see.

Ran a great run on the treadmill, but I think I've got a stress fracture.  I'll probably take it easy for a few weeks.

Couldn't take it any more.  I needed to get out and relieve some stress.  Headed up Skunk Creek with a buddy and had a great run.

Easy run on the treadmill today.  I really wasn't feeling up to much.

Nice run on the treadmill.  Last week, I ended up going to the doctor for my allergies, and ended up getting put on allergy/asthma meds.  It has only been a few days, but I already felt like I had an easier time breathing while running at 8:30/mile pace.  

Quick run today.  I hit the first mile hard coming in at around 8:00/mile.  I kept this pace another half a mile before I had to back off a bit.

Nice run in Thunderbird park.  I'm getting close to being able to conquer the entire climb without taking a walk break.

Tried going back to some old shoes.  The failful old Saucony's have finally met their match.  

Nice run up through Thunderbird park.  I ended up summiting without having to take a rest.  That was a pretty significant accomplishment considering the climb.

Pretty quick run this evening around town.  I tried out my phone for tracking distance, and really liked it.

A new course at Thunderbird park.  The distance is a pretty rough estimate based on the time to finish, but it is pretty close.

So, I've been absent for a couple of weeks due to a sprained ankle that was giving me some trouble.  I'm starting back kind of slow to ensure I don't reinjure it.  Can't wait to get back into full runs.

Another easy training run on the treadmill.  Ended up walking part of this because I started too quickly.  Better tomorrow hopefully.

New trail over at Deem Hills Park.  Even on a holiday there were only 5 cars in the parking lot.  I found my new getaway.

So I'm in Prescott, AZ for a month on rotations.  Tried out two different runs today, so it was a little higher mileage than usual.  

Another nice run in beautiful Prescott.  Needs more sidewalks around PV though.

Treadmill today.  I was a little sore from leg day yesterday and wanted something a little more easy than all the hills around me.

Nice run trying out a new trail.  It was okay, but not great.

Nice easy run around part of the Willow Lake trail system here in Prescott, AZ.  I got word the entire trail is open, so I my try that tomorrow afternoon when I have more daylight.

A little longer run today.  Did a little bit of interval training.  These new shoes are great.  I don't think I'll buy a shoe other than Adidas ever again.
