Personal:

I know Sasha from the CS program at BYU. We both graduated in 1997. He probably doesn't remember me, because he was definitely more vocal in class and among the students than I was.

Married to Teresa with 3 kids: Anders (4), Kristian (9), and Zoe (12).

Fluent in Danish, but there is obviously very little need for that.

The gua-sha therapy session from yesterday was a boost. I went out this morning on the trail near Princeton a little fatigued, but not in pain. It's weird how the muscle scraping does that- makes me feel a little more fatigued but any pain I was feeling before at the begining of my runs is gone because those knots and the scar tissue are worked out a bit. I brought the tool out with me on this trip so I can work on the lower legs a bit more. Over all, a very successful morning.

Hey, C! What's this gua-sha you speak of? I'm not familiar with it. Gonna google it right now.... long discription on Wiki. Looks interesting and sorta painful. If you think about it, bring it with you to one of the group runs.

When are you coming back to Utah full time? We need you at speedwork and at Hill Kills. :o)

Gua sha is something I learned about on the discussion board here. Think of the benefits of a deep tissue massage, and then imagine using an actual tool so you can concentrate the effort and work on yourself. It's really good at breaking up scar tissue and knots. You just apply the lotion (I use aquaphor) and then use scraping motions with the tool against the muscles on your legs or whatever. You can actually hear that stuff breaking up when you first do it.

I am done traveling on April 4th. End of next week!! woo hoo!
