| | 9.5ish. We warmed up, but not as much as usual. My right quad was really hurting yesterday and I was having trouble walking on it, but today it felt better. I talked to the trainer, and he stretched my leg out and I didn't feel any pain, so he said it was okay to run on, but to be cautious on the fast stuff. The workout today was 2X800m at I pace with 2 min. recovery, 3X400m at R, 4X200m at R. The first 800m went great, but it was downhill for 400m, and I ran a 2:11. My next one was opposite, and it didn't go that good. 2:22. My quad started to hurt here, and I shoud've just stopped, but didn't for some reason. 400s were okay. 1:02, 1:03, and 1:00. The 200s went well all were 28, but that was max effort, which is a problem. Cool down, then 5 miles when I got home.

| | Quad hurt last night again. Not sure what to do, but I'm going to try and take IBProfen(or however you spell it), ice it(I hate icing. I've only done it three times, and they all weren't willingly), and stretch/roll it out. The workout was 6XLions park hill and then a 200m after short recovery. It wasn't a killer workout, but coach had me skip out on the first hill, and the last loop. I also kept it easier than usual, just staying with our 4th and 5th guys. I ran 6 miles when I got home too. It's weird, because my quad doesn't hurt when I run fast, but on slow running, or walking(expecially walking) it hurts.

Region 5 (3.107 Miles) 00:14:59, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | Not really a good race for me, but I wanted to get my quad/right leg back to feeling better. I just need to take better care of it. Anyway, we watched and cheered on the races, but as a team we struggled in the JV races and Varsity girls race. It was a little scary heading into our race, especially because Alex was kinda injured, Ethan has been having liver problems(however that works) the past two weeks, and a few other guys didn't feel fresh at all. Well, we were ready to run hard though, and as a team, we bearly missed beating Ogden, who took 3rd at Bob Firman. I got out slow, but then just settled into a good pace. Once I realized no one was going with me, I decided to keep a faster even pace and not throw in any surges. Mile was 4:50. I looked back and we looked good, but not great in our places. After a little while I heard that Alek from Ogden was gaining on me, so I put in a surge, but then made sure I didn't push it too much because my right leg needed me to be careful. I made sure I finished comfortable on my leg, but my breathing was still tired. Alek was second, then Alex from Sky View(my team) was 3rd, then Mark summers, and Garrett Barton. After that it was Ethan(Sky View again!) and 3 other guys before our 4th guy. We had 4 in the top 10! Our fifth guy ran well, but Ogden's fifth guy did too. We ended up losing by 5 points, but it was alright, we ran great as a team, and I couldn't be happier on any other team. Cool down after, then 4.2 miles when I got home.
