| | Good workout today. I'm racing at USU this weekend, so coach had our group only do 6X1000m. 1 min rest. 3:00, 3:00, 3:01, 3:04 3:04 3:05. Felt really good until the 5th one. Still went well though. The main group did 10 and they were flying!

| | Premeet today. I felt good, the strides felt really good. I decided to keep it pretty easy because this may be my last race before track cones, so I would like to do well and have that bit of extra confidence heading into track season than not

Steve Reeder Memorial Invitational (4.35 Miles) 00:21:39, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | Good race. In a gist, warmed up 2.2 miles, then raced. It was my first time being back in Cache Valley since August. The race went out well. Jason Lynch took a commanding lead, and not knowing who he was, I expected to reel him back in. I had 10 m on the pack and was about 20m from Jason. After a mile the pack caught me, then I took the wind for the next 2.75 miles or so for the pack. Slowly people fell off, but I never made a surge. At 5k there were 3 of us, and I sped up a tad bit to try and catch Hason, whose lead has grown to 40 to 60 meters. Then the mud slipped Connor Ross and he had a bad fall, and Cody, from USU fell off a bit. I tried to kick it in to catch up to Jason, but he had a sizable lead, plus a kick over the last 350 m so I just didn't have enough room to catch him. Good race. Hopefully by track I'll improve a lot. 4 miles cool down, then ate a nice home cooked meal with the family.

| | Smithfield Canyon. 6:03 pace. I may have pushed it a bit too much on some of the downhills.
