AM: 15 min on elliptical. More podcasts...

PM: Gossner 5 miler with Dan.  Pace felt easy, leg felt only ok.  It started to ache again towards the end but not as bad as yesterday.  I think that 5 miles is just right for it right now.  It is a perfect run for the injured and out of shape.  Flat as a pancake, no traffic, and dirt for most of it.

Are you doing any ice/heat on it still?

I would keep that up until you can't feel your injury at all.

From Cody on Wed, Dec 19, 2007 at 21:25:11

I do 20 min of ice 2-3 times a day. No heat. Should I do more?

From josse on Wed, Dec 19, 2007 at 21:28:57

If you can follow up the ice with about 5 mins of heat that will help better. What I do is 5-7 mins of ice than right after do 5-7 mins of heat 2-3 times a day is fine. This helps get more blood flow to the area. I swear be this. If your short on time you can ice and then jump into the shower.

Sounds good. I will try adding the heat step when I can to see if that helps as well. I already do the ice then shower thing in the mornings, so I got that covered.
