Very hilly easy run. 7:42 am, 17°F, 74% humidity, wind 5 S. This run was mostly on SR 248 starting in Wasatch County and crossing into Summit County. The upside of this is that I was above the smog and the muck that is blanketing the Wasatch Front. The other upside of this is that this section of road has monster hills. From the start to 0.5 was a very steep downhill. This was from my sister's house, out of the neighborhood, to SR 248. Then it was uphill until about 2.25, and then down hill until 3.5 where I turned around, and then the whole thing in reverse. That last half mile from the main road up to my sister's house was a killer.
I ran from my sister's house to the place where the rail trail crosses SR 248 so that I could check out the condition of the trail. It is covered in snow, of course. I might give the rail trail a try in my yaktrax later this week. AP: 9:12. Splits: 9:32, 9:46, 8:43, 8:58, 9:13, 8:46, 9:25.
