Alone. In the cold. In the dark.

Actually, the hill repetitions warmed me up pretty well, but I got cold really quickly after I finished the run.

There was a street sign that I kept not quite reaching on each hill repetition. I decided that I would try to reach it on the last repetition. I almost made it to the sign on the last repetition, but not quite. Pace on the hill repetitions was 7:22, 7:44, 7:32, 7:33, 7:19, 7:20, 7:28, 6:47.

Happy Autumnal Equinox everyone.

WAy awesome work out! ;) You will get that sign next week.

It's a good thing that they made Autumnal Equinox sound so pretty... cause it makes me SO mad! I swear the news guy last night said it incorrectly.

Best season of the year starts today. I think I'll celebrate by going rock climbing. Glad you had a good workout. It's back to the bundled up runs in the dark, eh.

Reaching the sign sounds like a crazy running goal to me. Runners are all about crazy goals, I think!

Hey, at least it wasn't raining :)

Way to charge up those hills, you'll get to that sign next time.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 11:25:08 from 198.241.156.7

I will get to that sign next time because the next time I have a workout like this is two weeks from today and it's different in that my hill repetitions are supposed to last for 1 minute instead of for 50 seconds, so even if I run the same pace, I'll get to the sign because of the extra 10 seconds.

Just an interesting observation: I'm not entirely sure what the sign says.

When I ran my easy miles this morning, Carolyn, I thought of you on the hill, trying to get to your sign! Made me laugh. The sign says "Good job, Carolyn!"

Great run times on the hills. That's fast for flat!

Happy "Fall" to you too. 40 does sound a little chilly. It's nice when you're in the middle of a run, but not starting out or cooling down.

Time for the hot apple cider and cocoa!

From RAD on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 14:37:34 from 76.27.12.70

Nice run, and killer splits for hill work! I hate it when I pick a spot and never get to it - kick the sign as you fly by next week! :)

Oh...I'm not ready for the autumn or following winter, TOO cold already!! Did you get snow at all? Heard it was flying in your area today.

From JD on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 14:40:17 from 64.65.159.206

Ahhh...Autumn...

The street sign sais: "Come to Butthead..." Lol!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 15:39:15 from 198.241.174.15

Rachel, my kids claimed that they saw snow yesterday, but I guess I didn't look out the window at the right time. It's not cold enough for it to stick. I did see considerable rain yesterday, but not a drop so far today. But they're saying snow overnight tonight, so we'll see.

I'm sitting in my office wearing two jackets. I don't think that whoever is in charge of the thermostat realizes that it's cold outside. Of course, I have declined to turn the furnace on at my house thus far. The car is a different matter.

Nice paces on those hills! I love that they got faster on each one, you will get that street sign next time!!!

Brr....it was even colder for you than for me. But it sure is a nice change, huh? I will take cold over hot any day and Sunday.

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 19:17:31 from 65.191.134.20

Hmm...I think I'll take a cold Sundae instead.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 21:43:17 from 24.8.167.243

Oooh, a cold Sundae. That would sound good if it weren't so cold here.
