Easy run + level 3 shred.

I fell asleep at 8:00 last night, but then I had to get up about 9:45 to go pick up my son from work and then I did some other stuff while I was up and got back to bed around 11:00 or 11:30. I had kind of a hard time going back to sleep. But then I had a hard time dragging myself out of bed and then out of the house this morning. My normal sense of urgency was gone because the kids don't have school today.

It was a little colder this morning than it has been the last couple of days. There was frost on the cars that were parked on the street.

Michelle and I have to run early tomorrow morning because we've got a choir practice at 9:00 am for our Christmas program, which is on Sunday. I'm the choir director and can't sing worth a darn, and Michelle is an awesome soprano.

Oh how I can't wait to say that I don't have school...

Good luck on your run tomorrow--and on the Christmas program!

I would not say you can't sing worth a darn, that is not true. Good run today. I just found out that Ali, who I do P90X with, is going to run the Moab half. I am excited about that!

Does Ali want to come with us or does she have other plans? I didn't know she was a runner. That's exciting! Does she want to run with us on Saturdays?

Nice run this morning, glad you were able to get up and out despite not having a 'need' to. Good luck on your EARLY EARLY morning run tomorrow! I'm sure you sing better than you give yourself credit for!

Ali might want to drive with us but she is running the race and lodging with her sister from Utah. She is a 2-3 mile runner for exercise right now. I invited her to come with us on Saturdays and build her mileage a bit each week. She is leaving for Utah tomorrow and will be gone for two weeks. After that she said she will get serious about training, I imagine she will join us at some point.

So early and so cold! I want to see a picture of how you dress for 23 degrees for running. I don't believe I've ever done that.

It's not a picture, but this morning I wore smartwool socks (and shoes of course), long pants (they're kind of like yoga pants, but not exactly), two long sleeved shirts, one of which was smart wool, the other just a technical shirt. Two pairs of gloves: the inner pair cheap knit gloves, the outer pair, expensive wind-breaker gloves. A fleece thing around my ears, and a cap.

I wish I could fall asleep at 8:00 PM. You runners...insanity!!!
