Easy run + 9 x 8 sec. hill sprints. Average pace: 9:52.

41°, 81% humidity, wind 6 NW.

I slept in for an hour and ran later this morning because my husband has a comp day today and so he could do the driving to seminary. As a result, I had to deal with some middle schoolers on my hill when I was doing my hill sprints.

There was a little drizzling rain when I started my run, but then it stopped. The weather wasn't downright nastry today, but it was unpleasant. I guess it was a little taste of things to come.

Splits for the 6 miles were 10:08, 9:40, 9:34, 9:30, 9:32, 9:27. Paces on the hill sprints were 7:18, 7:12, 6:15, 8:00, 7:04, 6:35, 7:20, 6:08, 6:47.

As usual, Carolyn, nice run. Wish I could start slow and get faster instead of backwards!

41 degrees and wind! Brrrr! I'm afraid you girls are going to show me up again this Winter with your ability to run in all weather conditions. I'll try, but that treadmill...she's a real vixen! I can't resist!!

Auntieem, I don't try to do it that way. That's just what happens naturally.

JD, I'd probably opt for a treadmill more if I had one that was convenient. It takes me an extra 1/2 hour to get to and from the treadmill, and I don't have that kind of extra time in the morning.

I have an old treadmill in my house. Too easy. You're better off running outdoors anyway.

I saw it may snow in Denver last night...thought of you in the freezing cold! Glad you got to sleep in a little. GREAT run, splits and hill sprints!

No snow where I am so far, but it is raining pretty hard right now. I wish my office had covered parking. If it keeps up like this, I'm going to get soaked walking out to the north 40 where I parked this morning.

They say mind over matter. Do you think we could all pretend that summer went through the winter and it would really happen ;) Let's all try!

BRRRRR!!! Chilly! Good thing you waited an hour before going out--it would have been even colder!

A teacher told her class yesterday that if you see squirrels gathering a lot of nuts then it is going to be a long cold winter...So of course after school there was a squirrel carrying a huge nut! I said noooooo...hopefully this way of telling the weather isjust as reliable as groundhog day ...(as in I hope it will be a short winter)
