Very easy run. Average pace: 9:53.

4:55 am, 63°F, 38% humidity, winds calm.

It's a good thing I got an early start this morning because I ran slowly. I just felt tired and sluggish, especially at first. I think I've got a touch of this virus that is aflicting my family, but I'm not too sick. I figure going out and sweating in the morning helps to get rid of the germs. And breathing the (relatively) clean air probably helps too.

Splits were 10:37, 10:08, 9:42, 9:53, 9:37, 9:30, 9:40.

I did have to run fast for a few seconds. I was waiting at a light and it turned green, so I started across the street, but it was green for about 2 seconds, then it was quickly yellow, and then red, and I was still in the intersection. It was a big street and there was a car waiting for me. I was glad I had on my reflective vest and headlamp because the car did wait for me while I hurried across the street.

**Update**

Hey, lookie there! I took a nap! At 9:00 in the morning.

Hey! A nap at 9:00 AM! Are you sleeping at your desk?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:29:52 from 198.241.217.15

Nope. Working from home. Much more comfortable.

From JD on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:37:08 from 64.65.159.206

If I could work from home, I'd probably never leave except to run. :-)

So glad you got a nap in! You're doing great, keep those flu bugs away!! Enjoy your work at home day.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was so hoping for a year of naps now that I just have one child home, but she will not allow it.

Nice run today, I think Wednesday is sluggish day.

I've got my 7-year-old at home, but she let me sleep. I told her to wake me up if she needed anything. She didn't wake me up and she even got herself dressed while I was asleep.

Yeah for naps! Between the nap and your sweating it out while running, you will kick its butt! Whatever it is.

I replied in my post to your question about my breathing, and got so confused in the process. Almost had to go out and run again, just to see what I was doing for breathing! Funny.

Sweet! A good run and a good nap!

People are all prepared here for a huge H1N1 problem. Hopefully that's not what your virus is...Take care of yourself! Don't go anywhere if you have a fever (we've had about 10 separate bulletins from school telling us this. Definite overkill).

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 21:47:11 from 24.8.167.243

I don't have a fever. I've just got a stuffy nose.

Hooray for naps! Nice when you get the chance, definitely take it :)

i"m about to take a 9 am nap too...well maybe in a few at 8am.

I really think running helps your immune system-so aslong as I only feel a little sick I will go for a run and usually I don't get all the way sick.
