I had a busy morning but managed to get the run in. I don't have much to say about this run except that it is hard for my to run at a targeted pace when it's dark because I have to check my watch so often to make sure I'm on pace, and while I wear a head lamp (it probably needs new batteries) and I can turn the light on the watch, it's just harder to see the watch.

I met my boss last night. She seems very nice. But she does think I'm a little crazy to run 6 days/week. I've got a 5 mile easy run planned for tomorrow, so we're going to see if we can find a time to run together tomorrow. She leaves tomorrow night.

That's cool your boss is going to make the effort to get out with you.

I need a watch that I can track my pace with. I read a lot of people's blogs and am jealous of the way they can target workouts. Just another thing for my wish list.

Nice run Carolyn, you are getting some great miles in... Have fun with you boss tomorrow.

That'll be fun to show off to your boss how running 6 days/week really does get you in better running shape than less frequent runs (or inconsistent runs, as mine turn out to be. ha!) Awesome monthly mileage so far!!!!

That's funny about the six days a week seeming crazy to your boss. When I first started reading the blog, I thought it sounded crazy too. But now obviously it makes a lot of sense.

Nice workout today.

I just looked at your blog because I wanted to see what people with similar miles were doing. You're working full-time, have four children and running 10 miles every day, especially in the freezing cold dark. Honestly, your effort is twice mine! You're my new hero! Keep it up!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Fri, Feb 13, 2009 at 10:29:58

Thanks edrickt. I'll check out your blog when I have a chance (very busy these couple of days) and see what you're up to. I don't feel like a hero. I'm just plodding along at my slow pace.
