No run again today. However, my leg feels somewhat improved. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to run in another day or two.

It's a shame that I can't run today. We are having unseasonably warm temperatures, and I can see a beautiful sunrise out my bedroom window right now.

Maybe you can get an easy walk in at lunch. Heal quickly! :) Sno

Yes, I was thinking of doing that, Snoqualmie. There's a sandwich shop near my office that I'd like to walk to today. I'll have to see if the coworker that I usually walk with wants to do it. She has started a running program under my inexpert tutelage so that she can complete a 5K in April. But I think today is walking day, not a running day, for her.

I hope you leg feels better soon! When is your next race?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Feb 24, 2009 at 10:45:16 from 67.177.240.240

My next race is a half marathon on March 21, but it's just a tune-up for a marathon on May 16.

Good news about the improvement on the leg. We're having some good weather here today also. Suppossed to get up to 58 degrees!

what a relief ... I hope the improvement continues Carolyn. I think a nice walk would help keep your muscles loose, not to mention a little vitamin D!

Get better quick. I know exactly how you feel and hope that this injury doesn't keep you down too long.

Good luck.

Don't you always kick yourself when you have a gorgeous day and you're not out there running? If it makes you feel better, I could send you some crappy weather from out here and borrow your sunshine and warmth until you can run again :)

Take care of that leg!

I walked to the Corner Bakery Cafe for lunch with my coworker. It was about 2 miles round trip. We took a little longer route on the return trip to add some distance and get some hills. Walking uphill actually feels better.

In any case, I'm able to walk a lot better than I could yesterday. I think the walking was good for me and loosened it up a bit.
