Interminable treadmill torture.

When I got up this morning, it was -12 degrees, not counting the wind chill. By 10 am, it was -2 degrees. Now, at a little past 1 pm, we're up to 7 degrees. So we're warming up, but I still did the work at home, run at work thing. Maybe I'll make it outside tomorrow.

My kids had a one-hour delayed start at school, so I was particularly late getting in to the office to run. By the end of my run, the gym was quite crowded. After I was finished and getting dressed, I wondered which of the women in the gym the leopard-print bra that was hanging in the locker room belonged to.

I decided to take it a little easier on the treadmill today than I did yesterday, so I left the incline at 0 and did 2 miles at 10:00 pace, and then the rest of it at 9:31 pace. I took my shoes off and ran barefoot for the last half mile. Also, I opened the blinds before I started running today so at least I had the traffic outside to look at.

Dreadmills are torture ... way to get it done Carolyn!

Good job geitting it in on a treadmill. These temps are crazy! I'm hoping to get a TM run tonight, where I can look upon my unfinished kitchen for eight miles or so.

Nice work on getting it done! Did you ever find out who it belonged to? :) That guessing game would probably keep my attention longer than the bouncing branch!

Nope, I never did find out. I didn't stick around long enough. And the question didn't entertain me during my run because I didn't see the bra until after my run was over.

However, I did nearly fall of the treadmill a couple of times because of looking to the side at a small exercise class (3 people) that was going on.

How'd the 1/2 mile barefoot feel?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 08:59:37 from 24.8.167.243

The treadmill felt harder than I thought it would, but other than that, the half mile barefoot felt pretty good.
