I've run off and on (more off than on) throughout my adult life. Most recently I started running in May of 2007.

5K PR: Colder Bolder in December 2009 in 22:50.

10k PR: Bolder Boulder in May 2009 in 48:06.13.

1/2 Marathon PR: Canyonlands Half-Marathon in March 2010 in 1:43:20.

Marathon PR: Newport (Oregon) Marathon in June 2010 in 3:42:17.

I have completed two full marathons.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get back to consistent running.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 3:30 marathon.

Personal:

I grew up in Utah, but live in Colorado now.

I am married and am a working mother of four children, ages 9-19.

Easy run. Average pace: 9:50.

Weather: 39°F, 87% humidity, wind 6 NNE, cloudy and gray.

I did my run later than usual this morning. I got up at 5:45, put on my flip-flops and glasses and drove my son to seminar. Then I came back home and put on some clothes and went back to the school to meet with the same son's World History teacher. The meeting was supposed to be at 6:30. I cooled my heels at that school until 7:00 and the teacher never showed up. So then I came home and got breakfast for the two younger kids and then went on my run.

I took the pace really slow and easy this morning. However, I did pick up the pace for a little while during the 4th mile in order for my cadence to match the beat of the song Curious, by the Barenaked Ladies, which was playing on my mp3 player.

Nice run today... hate being frustrated with teachers yoru just a mess up with schedules in general. Looks like it didn't effect your run though. I'll have to check out your song... here at work there are too many firwalls to be able to hear it. How many miles you doing for your long run this week? I got invited to trail run with some friends. Not sure what I'm doing yet.

We have a lot of firewalls here at work too and I often having trouble accessing the blog as a result.

I hate waiting. And I hate waiting even more when who I'm waiting for doesn't show up. Hopefully that teacher doesn't give the rest of us a bad name.

18... that's good, I was looking at 17. I don't know how far the trail run would be if I do it with the friends. I think about the same miles. But it will be trails, much harder for me. :( But nicer on my joints. Still have not dicided.

Tracy, I'm rescheduled to see the teacher after school on Monday. Maybe that will work out. I'm not looking forward to this meeting. My son is getting A's in all his classes except a D in this one. I've got to find out what's up.
