Easy run.

5:17 am, 29°F, 38% humidity, wind 6 S.

It was a pleasant run with music again. It was not quite as wonderful as yesterday, but was a nice run just the same. I like to run to songs that are in 3 because if they're fast enough for me to match my stride to the beat, the 3 beats to the measure cause me to alternate which foot is going down on the down beat. But most songs are in 4. I found this little song that is in 3 and that I enjoyed running to this morning. It's not a terrifically fast tempo, but is good for an easy run.

AP: 9:21. Splits: 9:52, 9:28, 9:35, 9:22, 9:38, 9:17, 9:07, 9:04, 9:13, 8:58.

I bought a new pair of pants and a new shirt yesterday to wear to my work party today (I'm singing in the little company choir, so I'm dressing up a little more than I would otherwise). I bought size 6 pants for the first time in I don't know how long. And I got about half of my hair cut off (the bottom half).

Isn't that awesome?! I know that we women shouldn't put so much stock in numbers, but it does feel good to fit into a smaller size :)

Glad you didn't get the top half cut off. That would look pretty weird.

I'll bet you look really terrific with your slender runner body!

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 11:21:48 from 207.225.192.66

Way to go!! It's always fun to feel slim and fit. You need to take a picture and post your new haircut!

We will need to exchange info. on where we're staying in Moab! So we can meet up for dinner or something. Are you staying through Sat. It could be fun to do a small hike through arches.

Yeah! Congrats on the new look. Sounds fun! Your good mood is projecting from my screen and it just made me smile. :)

Carolyn,

Congrats on the down-sizing! Especially this time of year when we all have a tendency to nosh a little more than usual.

Your music has inspired me to get some new tunes on my not-pod. I'd gotten tired of listening to what I had on mine, so I've been listening to the radio. I usually only use one ear-bud or have them partially in/out so I can hear cars & dogs.

Great mileage today!

Way to go - a size 6 is a HUGE deal! I'm jealous!

From RAD on Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 16:21:23 from 67.172.229.125

Good work on the 'downsizing' that's usually not a positive word :) Nice miles as usual...I'm very jealous. I've tried the cadence running and I'm not very good at it. I'm off now to welcome Michelle!!

Nice ten miler.

I have a bunch of clothes, like flannel shirts and a couple of pairs of pants etc. that are way to big for me now. I look like some gangsta punk when I wear them!

Nice 10 mile run today!

I'm going to run with tunes today also! I downloaded some Willie Nelson I want to hear.

Congratulations on your new look! I love getting new haircuts.
