Easy run + 4 x 8 sec. hill sprints. Average pace: 9:41.

Weather: 27°F, 36% humidity, wind 10 mph WNW.

I took it a little slower today, especially for the first few miles, which were generally uphill. I sped up for the second half, which was generally downhill. Splits were 9:51, 10:01, 9:53, 9:55, 9:33, 9:32, 9:18, 8:58. Pace for the hill sprints was 7:37, 6:56, 7:04, 6:05 (I really tried to go fast on the last one).

I fell again at the same spot where I fell last time, but it wasn't nearly as bad of a fall this time. I kind of rolled to my right as I fell and just bounced right up and kept running. My right knee is a little scraped and will probably be bruised, but it's no big deal. No injuries other than that. I've got to quit daydreaming and pay attention when ever I'm running in that place. It's where a dirt trail ends and a sidewalk starts. I keep catching my toe on the edge of the sidewalk.

Today is my husband's birthday. Now he's old like me.

Falling on a run is so awkward isn't it? Glad you weren't hurt.

So, you married a younger man eh?

Way to go Dolly-Daydream. And in the same place. I shouldn't make fun, it really does suck. Glad you didn't get hurt and had a good day.

Yes, JD. I married a younger man. He's 6 days younger. He likes being married to an "older" woman for 6 days out of every year. And he never forgets my birthday because his is always coming too.

Did you think "ta-dah!" as you rolled bounced back up? :)

Glad you didn't hurt yourself.

Happy belated b-day!
