Easy Run. Average pace 9:37.

51°F, 66% humidity, winds calm. It was a little chilly this morning. I might have to break out the long sleeves and gloves soon.

I got to bed late last night and didn't sleep really well. I'm tired. I got up on time this morning, but was late getting out the door to run because I had to iron some clothes for my husband first. When I got back from my run, I was stretching on my porch as is my habit, and I noticed that there were no lights on in the house. Usually, Thing 2 gets up while I'm running and turns on some lights and he's supposed to be ready for seminary by the time I get home from running. I figured (correctly) that he had overslept, so I went in and woke him up. He got ready quickly and I took him to Seminary. On the way to Seminary, I realized that Thing 3 should have been up by the time we left for Seminary but that he had also overslept. I woke him up when I got back from the Seminary drop-off and so now he's hurrying to get ready for school. Everybody's tired today.

My Army recruit friend, who shall hereafter be known as Cindy, called last night and called this morning's workout. I was going to do the Shred without her this morning, but I'm too tired and so I'm skipping it.

Good luck to everyone who's running TOU tomorrow! And שנה טובה to everyone who's celebrating Rosh Hashanah!

**Update** I was useless at work so I came home and took a nap. Now I need to get some work done.

Wow, a crazy morning! Nice job getting up and getting that run in...that is the hard part! Maybe there is something in the air today...my hubby slept through his alarm clock this morning too.

How was the symphony? Hopefully it was worth the lost sleep! Good luck with Cindy, hopefully she makes a decision soon and doesn't keep wasting your time :(

Um, you iron your husband's clothes? WOW! Not only do I iron my own clothes, but I iron my wife's clothes too. But it has been mentioned before, I'm like 26% chick. Good run considering a hectic morning. When is your next marathon?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Fri, Sep 18, 2009 at 10:18:05 from 67.161.201.184

RAD, the symphony was really fun. They world premiered a mandolin concerto composed and performed by a guy named Chris Thile, who used to be in Nickel Creek.

I'm actually glad that Cindy canceled today. I would have had a hard time fitting it in this morning.

Jun, I normally make my husband iron his own clothes, but he was feeling sick to his stomach this morning, so I took pity on him and did it for him.

Oh, yeah, I know that Chris Thile and Nickel Creek. That must have been really a treat! Love mandolin.

I'm cracking up about you rushing back and forth waking people up at your house. I feel like 90% of our jobs as moms is that kind of stuff: food, vitamins, sleep, did you brush your teeth, the laundry soap is in the cabinet, let cats out, let cats in.

Love your easy runs!

I think the entire family will need to sleep in tomorrow! Glad you got a nap, though!!! I hope you are feeling well rested soon and able to focus on work and motherhood---as our work is never done, right?

No wonder you were in such a funk! 5 hours of sleep is not enough! I hope you are sleeping in this morning!

I'm glad you woke up--otherwise everyone would be late and in wrinkled clothing!

From Snoqualmie on Sat, Sep 19, 2009 at 15:28:58 from 24.18.192.33

And La shana tovah to you too!!! (Happy New Year.) I got so excited to see Hebrew in your post! Very cool.

April is right - 5 hours of sleep is not enough. It's more like what they give prisoners to torture their minds. Hope you feel better today. Get some melatonin!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Sat, Sep 19, 2009 at 18:14:16 from 24.8.167.243

Sno, I did take a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day when I was supposed to be working.

I don't think I need melatonin. I sleep great when I get the opportunity. My problem is lack of opportunity.
