I am SO stoked! I placed 7th in the women's division of today's race. Too cool! The race was 4.0 miles, with the first two miles climbing up the Arctic Valley ski slopes, which meant we peaked one mountain, ran down and peaked another. Whew! The wind was so strong it almost knocked me over. Downhill was treacherous at the top and then sloped out so that I was able to run full-blast the last mile. Felt awesome.

The cool thing is that I am getting FASTER! My first mountain race I was in the front of the back of the pack; the second race I was in the middle of the pack; the third I was in the front of the middle of the pack. And today I was in the middle of the lead pack (I'm feeling it right now, too).

In two weeks I'm jumping over to pavement for the Skinny Raven 1/2 marathon. Uh-oh.

Congrats on the great finish. Do you wear a Garmin? I'm asking because I'm curious what that initial climb was. I'm sure it was tough... Welcome to the blog.

Great job Cinthia! I know what it's like to be finishing in the back of the pack and slowly work my way up in the standings as it were.
