Well, what can you say? Some days of running are good, some days (most days?) not so good. I've had about a year and a half of not so good days, frustrating days, days when I've wondered if my best days are well behind me. Finally, today, I had one of those good days. I finally hit some times on the track that I was able to hit fairly consistently two or three years ago, but just haven't been able to do recently. We ran 800's and after the second one, I decided to try and pace off of Cheris and Michelle. That's when I was able to run some fast times (for me). Here are the times, and in parantheses are my times from two weeks ago, just to compare between then and now: 3:25 (3:35); 3:24 (3:27); 3:13 (3:29); 3:17 (3:29); 3:14 (3:30); 3:18 (3:29) and 3:10 (only ran six last time). That 3:10 is my fastest time in about two years. So needless to say, I was happy about this workout. Now I need to work on endurance. |
