Personal:

I'm married with four children.  I run with a group called the Bingham Butt-Kickers, a really fun group of people that gets me out running early on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes Saturdays.   I recently found out that I've been running with poor form for many years, which has probably contributed to some nagging aches and pains I've had for years.  One of my big goals now is to be able to run with better form and to have running feel more effortless.  I hope this won't take too many years to achieve!

The group met at Bingham.  I read about a workout in Runner's World where you run 4 minutes fast, then 2 of recovery, so we did that for 30 minutes, mainly running around Canterwood and Rustic Roads.  We then did a tempo run, down North Forty Way to Rustic Roads, over to Canterwood, up to 2700 W., and back down Rustic Roads.  That was about 2.3 miles.  I averaged 7:33 per mile on that.  Then we ran strong back to the high school.  I was kind of wheezing on that one, something I haven't done in a long time.  Then looked at my avg., it was 7:05, so a little fast for me, even if just for 2 minutes.  That probably explains the wheezing.  I figure I don't have to do any races this year, running group kind of turns into race effort (for me) each time.  It was fun as it always is.

Thanks for the planning the run Cheryl. I hope your dad's funeral was nice and you are doing okay. BTW, you are getting speedy fast again. You are truly AWESOME!

Thank you so much Michelle. I really appreciate your always positive and upbeat attitude. I'm always happy to see you at the group. My dad's funeral was very nice. It's still sinking in that both my parents are now gone, and that's a little tough, but I guess that's life and life goes on. Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks for the great workout Cheryl. You were so fast today. It really helped push me just trying to catch you. I too am so sorry about your dad. I'm glad to hear that the funeral turned out nice. I agree with Michelle. You are awesome.

Your workout sounded very hard like it usually is. I'm almost glad I missed it. I hope your Dad's funeral went well. It's hard to loose both parents, but knowing what we know about Heavely Father's plan for us makes it easier.

Julie--Thank you, YOU are awesome and very nice.

Nancy--thank you for those comforting words. It is tough to lose both parents, tougher than I thought it would be. You're right about Heavenly Father's plan.
