The plan was to go 10, but I had some tightness in the left hip early in the run that was enough to have me back off. After a few miles, though, things loosened up well. I threw in some fartlek-style point-to-point surges (nothing longer than .5) just to see how those would feel.  Mostly, they were good. I felt like I had something resembling "fitness" this morning--but it was only a resemblance. I ran the same Ensign route as yesterday, but was four minutes faster today because of the surges.

Seems like your daily runs are like my weakend long runs. I'm still working slowly up the weakly milage ladder. The humidity in this area is really not fun. Last year was horrible. We had 5 weeks straight where it was a humid 80F at 10PM!!! In those days I sadly resort to running on a trademill in the gym. At least winters here are pretty mild.

I noticed that you do not write down your time/pace. Are you running without a watch to make sure you don't go too fast on easy days?

Arie,

I've run in 90/90 weather and it's the hardest running I have ever done. If you're used to it, I suppose it's more bearable, but still. You get my respect being out there on a daily basis.

For my runs, I typically don't write down time/pace either because I run the same routes frequently enough that there are no surprises in time/pace. Most of my runs are at easy pace, which is equivalent to 7:00-7:30 on a flat surface. I don't get too concerned about the variability from one day to the next unless I'm running a workout. For workouts, I am careful about paying attention to my splits so that I can compare those efforts over time. Same with races, I typically log splits for that reason as well.
