Personal:

I'm a former rower, looking at getting into some other form of competition after "retirement" from my pastime of the previous four years. I'm dedicated, but a little held back by my formerly 215lb 6'7" frame.

Oh man, felt supreme today. Lots, and lots, and lots of hills on this one, but felt invincible until the last quarter or mile or so, when my legs started getting really stiff. Downhill for about 1.25 miles, a simple level loop for about 3 miles, and then huge ups and downs the rest of the way. Total elevation gain/drop of 787, total time 1:31:39, average split of 7:49, almost all of it basic aerobic.

We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but at this rate, I'll be hitting every run at 8+ miles by February. Amusing to think that in the buildup to the Seattle Half-Marathon a month ago, I had done a total of 7 runs of 8+ miles in 3 months of training. I've done 4 runs that length in the last 7 days, and pretty soon will be doing 6 a week. The running's going well, now I just need to maintain healthy sleep and diet habits!
