Short-Term Running Goals:

Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

Only 4 again, but this time it was running the whole time at 4%. Using the incline makes me sweat a lot more. It's pretty gross. Still not like how Eric sweats, though. When he does the stair machine it's like it's been raining. And my knee hurt during the last mile, so I think I'm moving into more of a long-term-fix mindset.

Just got caught up with your recent posts. So sorry to hear about the dang ITB. Looks like you're smart to nip it in the bud. GOOD JOB with the incline running and hiking. GOOD LUCK and here's to speedy recovery and happy knee soon! :)

Girly I hope you can get this figured out. I say ART is your next thing. I swear it works wonders. I am going to do that or the graston technique. Ughhh

But don't give up. IT band can be fixed for sure!

How are you feeling? Are you still doing Ogden on Saturday?

Thanks Smooth and Lily. Toby - I'm not. It was going to be a rough race anyway, and with the knee problems I decided to not do it (again). I think it'll be okay in the long run, though. Eric and I are thinking about Top of Utah (we didn't try to get into St. George). You're going to rock it on Saturday, though! I'm so excited to read your report (and everyone else's!).
