Personal: I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. | | Barre pilates class in Draper. Seriously - that place kicks my trash every time. I'm scared for if we ever live in Draper and I have the chance to go there more often. It's *so* hard (for me).

| | Around the track at the rec center. I got there at about 6:30 and it was super crowded. Also, I didn't leave myself time to pump before I went (Nora doesn't wake up until about 7:30), so that was pretty uncomfortable. Lesson learned.
I did 19 laps instead of 18 because someone at the front desk said that it's only 6 laps to a mile from the outside lane and I tend toward the middle lane.
Barre pilates class in the PM.

| | When I got to the gym I just didn't feel like running around the track. I found out that the treadmills have TV (which we don't have at home) - awesome. Plus it was easy to ramp things up at the end.

| | Nora woke up this morning at the time I was supposed to leave for the rec center, so I did my run in the evening. Better TV choices, but my tummy didn't feel as great. And I had to wait a couple of minutes for a treadmill. Fortunately the track's right there. I took it a little easier than yesterday (no incline or speeding up at the end) since tomorrow morning I'm going to the pilates class in Draper that makes me feel like my quads are ripping apart.

| | No running - that class really does kick my butt. About five minutes into it every time I regret going, but every time it's over I'm glad I went.

| | On the treadmill at the rec center. It was harder to get out of bed this morning, but I'm *always* glad when I get my run done in the morning.
This week I'm ramping up to 4 Pilates classes and 5 days running. At least that's my plan.
PM: pilates class. Usually I love the classes but tonight's was super crowded. There was a group of girls there who all looked the same (really similar outfits, all in UGG boots afterward) - I would have thought it was funny, but since they made the class so crowded I just got annoyed.

| | This week definitely didn't go how I thought it would. Pretty much I fell off the exercising wagon after Tuesday. But today I did a hard pilates class in Draper. It wasn't as hard as it usually is, so I'm looking forward to going back on Monday (usually it takes about a week for me to feel excited about going again).

| | Just a mile on the treadmill at the gym. Hardly worth the effort to get there, but I had to balance Nora being home crying with not wanting to skip a morning run ("run") after missing so many days last week.
I know I said Saturday's class wasn't as hard as it usually is, but my butt's still sore. It was nice to shake it out a bit.
PM: class in Draper. The thigh workout made me feel like I was going to throw up. Best classes ever...

PM: class in Provo. So way easier than the Draper classes, but still enjoyable. Except that I have to wear a holter monitor for 48 hours and it's totally visible and I feel awkward about it.

| | No running this morning because Eric leaves for work early.
PM: class in Provo. The Tuesday/Friday teacher isn't my favorite style, but the best time for me is when she's teaching so I'm trying to embrace it.

| | Class in Draper. My last Saturday Draper class for a few months, so I'll probably start running on Saturdays (Provo classes are easier). My quads were a little sore from last night's class, so I experienced the muscle failure in today's class a little earlier than normal. *Such* a hard class (for me).

PM: Class in Provo. One of my favorite teachers, and she threw in some new things that made the thighs burn. Good times.

| | AM: 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I love the NB shoes (I can't remember which model they are, but they're flat and light and wide), but I need a little more cushion or softness under the balls of my feet. I'd love to find a sock that provided what I need. I get some friction/soreness in my other shoes, too, when I'm running longer than I'm used to.
PM: Class in Provo. It was the teacher whose class I don't mesh with, but tonight I felt like I did better. And I found out that our daughters have similar names.
