Short-Term Running Goals:

Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

Big fail day on the running front. Elliott was crazy fussy for Eric all day, and after I got home she was crazy fussy for me. She slept during our 45-minute walk, but after that she was fussy again. It was almost 11:00 by the time things were settled down, but at that point I wanted the half hour of sleep more than I wanted the run. I could have gotten it in by running instead of walking or by leaving work earlier or by just forgoing the sleep, but I didn't.

I was still under my calories today, but since I didn't run I didn't get to have the 2 glasses of milk I wanted after dinner.

Here's a picture of Elliott in the stroller.

ahhh ... what a sweetie!! Good for you getting her out for her walk! Sounds to me like she likes walking ...

She is SO cute!

Don't you worry about that weight girl -I hit a major plateau from months 2-4, then I magically lost (no dieting!) about 6 pounds. Go ahead and eat that Ben and Jerry's :)

What a cute little stinker! Sorry she rained on your run, but I think sleep is better :)

I'm with Melody don't worry too much about the weight. I stayed pretty stagnant with mine the whole time I was nursing and now with just a small diet change have dropped 7 in about 3 weeks. You may not be where you want, but just remember a time and season for everything. Now it's time to be there for Elliott.

She's so sweet. If you guys ever need a babysitter, experienced Mama of 4 here that can help :) Serious.
