Short-Term Running Goals:

Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

At the 800 N gym in Orem. Take the Lead was playing in the cardio cinema. I had never heard of it, but it kept me interested for all 6 miles. I even wanted to stay longer to see how it ended, but Eric and Elliott were waiting for me at Eric's sister's house. I did ballroom dance while I was at BYU and sometimes I miss it. Eric says he'll go with me but we haven't made it happen yet.

And...this week was my highest mileage week of 2011.

Good job this week.

And you can go ahead and tell people that the real reason we don't dance is that no one can handle my amazing moves.

My mom was a folk dancer at the Y and taught me several ballroom steps when I was younger. I've wanted to take some formal classes with Emily since we've been married. Maybe once the dust has settled from having all these kids.

awesome work this week! I love when you can get so caught up in something while you're running that despite any fatigue, you just want to keep going.

I hope you get back to ballroom soon, it is SO beautiful and graceful. No denying that I don't have that :)

Thanks Eric and RAD. Jun - you and Emily and Eric and I should all go sometime. There's a place in Murray that has reasonably-priced lessons and then a dance after. With a band.

Murray Arts Center, they are GREAT! Don't ask me how I know...I just do. No, I never did ballroom there. I did dance there for about 10 years, yes, classic ballet. No, don't ask to see pictures, it's not pretty!!! Like I said NO DENYING I don't have that.

Do they still have pictures of ballet classes on the wall? :)

From RAD on Mon, Oct 17, 2011 at 16:31:35 from 76.27.16.189

What? No! They'd darn stinkin' better well NOT have pictures of ballet classes on the walls!!! I might have to get my legal team down there if they do :)
