11 miles with a former running buddy. We met at the Alger Shell station and ran up Blanchard Mt to the Samish lookout. I never knew this lookout existed, and the view was incredible. Incredible view of the San Juans, and coming back down gave a panoramic view of Skagit Valley in a scene you'd expect out of the Alps.
With a ~1500 ft climb, I was happy to find I can still run up a good hill. Considering it's been 9 months since I ran up anything taller than the Mississippi River levy. The way back down took more of a toll on my legs. I felt my left shin start complaining and was grateful the descent wasn't any longer than it was.
