Personal:

I have been married for almost 14 years to the best man in the whole world.  I have 5 awesome kids and am trying to "find joy in every journey."

I love to run because it involves only me and it challenges me.  It helps me feel good about myself.

pool running = 60 min hard

the word "hard" is an under statement for sure!  I was so bored I could sream!  I didn't have my swimmimg buddy (toby) there to make it fun.

I had to do a lot of dodging people.  The water aerobic people think they can take up all the space that is not used for lap swimming.  Because I had do swim for eternity by the time I was done I had the whole pool to myself.  That was really sad.  As much as I am complaining I had a great workout.  I need to get back on the same schedule as toby for sure!!!!

ugghhh, just think about the mental toughness you're developing while you 'weave' in & out of people and try to stay sane for 60 minutes!!

I tether myself in place so you don't have to worry about having to dodge and you can pull harder against the tether.

RivertonPaul- thanks for the advice! I bet that would really kick my butt. How do you tether yourself and to what?

Either the ladder rail or the starter blocks work with bungee cords.
